Interviewer instructions

We want to know whether each of the procedures listed was performed during any of the antenatal check-ups during her last pregnancy. It does not matter if they were performed only once or more than once, or performed in the same visit or spread over several visits.

A blood sample may be taken from the woman's fingertip or from a vein (usually from a vein near the elbow or on the wrist). The blood sample is used to test for various diseases, such as anaemia, parasite infestations or infectious diseases.
