Rawat inap adalah upaya penyembuhan di suatu unit pelayanan kesehatan modern atau tradisional dimana responden menginap 1 malam atau lebih, termasuk dalam kejadian ini adalah rawat inap untuk persalinan baik persalinan normal maupun persalinan dengan penyakit. Tidak termasuk ART yang pada saat pencacahan sedang dirawat.
