<svar a="all" v="PT91A043"><span class="em">Question 5: Type of building and period of construction</span><br /><br />The first aspect that has to be considered is the type of building to be enumerated. One can find a <span class="ital">conventional building</span> in the sense that its structure and the materials used to build it are permanent, or other types of inhabited constructions, which should be chosen when you identify a shack or other improvised construction, tent, caravan, boat, natural shelter, etc.<br /><br />Note: If the later building type is chosen (option 9) the filling-in of this questionnaire is over.<br /><br />As you can understand by the question's structure, the period of construction will only be collected for classical (conventional) buildings.<br /><br />To collect the correct information and classify the building into categories 1 through 7, you must inform yourself about the year or period of construction by asking the proprietary, doorman or any of the older residents.<br /><br />In cases where persons (due to old age) might have some difficulties remembering the exact period of construction, ask for comparisons with some milestones (i.e. before or after the World War I, etc.).<br /><br />In cases of persisting doubt decide by using information of similar and nearby buildings.<br /><br />Note: If reconstruction was undertaken please register the date for reconstruction and not the original construction period.<br /></svar>
