Description

Definition
For children with diarrhea in the past 2 weeks, DIATRBF1 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment from a public "maternity clinic/dispensary." This response category is country-specific to Burkina Faso.

Though IPUMS-DHS integrates "public dispensary" across some samples (see DIATRPUBDRUG), DIATRBF1 is not included in that integrated variable because the wording of this response for Burkina Faso consolidates multiple sources into a single category.
