Definition

GEO_CM1998 (V101_CM1998) indicates the region of Cameroon where the respondent was interviewed. DHS units in the 1998 Cameroon survey are equivalent to grouped regions.

Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables. There are also integrated variables, GEO_CM1991_2011 and GEO_CM2004_2011, that provide spatially consistent units over time. The Cameroon 1998 sample is excluded from GEO_CM2004_2011 due to inconsistent boundaries.
