Description

Definition
DISOBJECT indicates whether the child household member (age 2) can name at least one object (such as an animal, a toy, a cup, or a spoon).

For older children (age 3-9), the related variable DISSPEECH indicates whether the child has speech patterns that are different from normal or are unclear. Both variables are indicators of speech delay.
