Description

Definition
For surviving children born in the three to five years before the survey, HWARMHTPCT (HW24) reports the child's arm circumference-for-height percentile, based on smoothed percentile growth charts by age and sex developed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

HWARMCIR (HW20) reports the child's upper arm circumference, as measured by DHS personnel. The related variable HWHEIGHT (HW3) reports the child's height in centimeters at the time of measurement.
