For women who gave birth in the last five years and who received antenatal care during their most recent pregnancy, ANCPRIVOTH_01 (M57R_1) indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported receiving care at some "other" private medical source. The meaning of "other" depends on the specific response categories included in a given sample.

IPUMS-DHS users should be careful to distinguish ANCPRIVOTH_01 from ANCPUBOTH_01 ("other" under the public medical sector) and ANCOTHER_01 ("other" that is not described as under either the private or the public medical sector).
