Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCML2 indicates whether they received care at a public "regional hospital." This response category is country-specific to Mali.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCML2 is combined with ANCML1 (Public national hospital) in ANCPUBHOS (all public hospitals) for the 2012 Mali sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCML2 are encouraged to review ANCPUBHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
