Description
Definition
GEOALT_NG2008_2013 indicates the region of Nigeria where the respondent was interviewed. The variable is integrated to yield units with consistent boundaries across samples.
Labels identify the modern geographic units (states) contained in each integrated region. Each sample also has its own non-integrated geography variable. An additional integrated variable, GEO_NG2003_2013, includes the 2003 Nigeria sample and contains less geographic detail (grouped states).
An integrated GIS map (in shapefile format) for Nigeria can be downloaded here [URL omitted from DDI.].
