Description

Definition
AGEFLAGIND (HML17) reports the completeness of the information about the household member's age, as collected on the individual, rather than household, questionnaire. Code 1 indicates that complete information was reported, and no imputation was required. Code 0 indicates that no information on the household member's age was available from an individual questionnaire (for example, for women past childbearing age).

The complementary variable AGEIND (HML16) reports the age of the person, based on information collected through the individual questionnaire.

The related variable HHAGE (HV105) reports age for all household members (including those not covered by an individual or men's questionnaire), as given by the respondent to the household survey.
