For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCPRIVOTH (M57R) indicates whether the mothers received care at some "other" private medical source. The meaning of "other" depends on the specific response categories included in a given sample.

IPUMS-DHS users should be careful to distinguish ANCPRIVOTH from ANCPUBOTH ("other" under the public medical sector) and ANCOTHER ("other" that is not described as under either the private or the public medical sector).
