Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCNP4 indicates whether the mother received care at a private hospital or nursing home. This response category is country-specific to Nepal.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCNP4 is combined with ANCNP5 (private clinic) in ANCPRIVHOS (all private hospitals and clinics) for the 2016 Nepal sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCNP4 are encouraged to review ANCPRIVHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
