Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCNP8 indicates whether the mother received care from Marie Stopes, a non-governmental organization. This response category is country-specific to Nepal.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCNP8 is combined with other NGOs in the 2011 and 2016 Nepal surveys.


In the 2011 Nepal survey, ANCNP8 is combined with ANCNP6 (UMN), ANCNP7 (FPAN), ANCNP9 (ADRA), and ANCNP10 (other NGO) in ANCNGO (all NGOs).
In the 2016 Nepal survey, ANCNP8 is combined with ANCNP7 (FPAN) and ANCNP10 (other NGO) in ANCNGO (all NGOs).
