Description

Definition
PROVPK indicates the province in which the household resides within Pakistan. It is the largest-scale geographic identifier available in the Pakistan samples. This variable includes four provinces, two autonomous states, one federally-administered territory, and a federal capital territory (Islamabad Capital Territory).

NOTE: All Pakistan samples exclude the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Northern Areas (Gilgit-Baltistan) and Kashmir.

The smaller geographic units for Pakistan are divisions, DIVPK (available only in 1981 and 1998), and districts, DISTPK.
