Abstract
This survey was part of a comprehensive research project in South Africa which attempts to assess the importance of aspects influencing intergroup relations among the four "population groups". In addition, it surveys political opinions of the respondents.

Notes
Data was collected on respondents' contact with other population groups, the nature of the contact, their opinion of other population groups, and indentification with a particulargroup. Data was collected on respondents' opinion of open public amenities, the county's political future/situation, non-racial sports, and human rights. Data on respondent's exposure to books and media dealing with issues of race was also collected. Background data was collected on: Sex, age, population group, home language, education level, marital status, occupation, income, religion and membership of organizations.
