Interviewer instructions

This question is designed to capture attitudes toward discipline and should be asked last, after asking about parental/caretaker disciplinary behaviour. The question asks the parent/caretaker for her/his own opinion of whether it is necessary to use physical punishment when teaching the child to behave properly.
