Description With its annual statistical analytical report titled "Social Snapshot and Poverty in Armenia" the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (NSS RA) provides the public with comprehensive information on the level of poverty and social situation in the country. The report is based on the findings of the annual integrated living conditions surveys of households (ILCS), which internationally are recognized as the most important tool for collecting data on households living conditions. These types of surveys gather wealth of information on households and individuals welfare and allow the NSS RA to inform the Government and the public at large on annual changes in population living standards, changes in lifestyle, incomes and expenditures in light of economic developments.

This volume of Social Snapshot and Poverty in Armenia report relied on data received from 5,187 households surveyed in 2005.
