Description

Definition
SUGARSELHH indicates whether the respondent's household was selected for questions about sugar consumption. The final report for the Zambia 2001 DHS states, "Sugar produced in Zambia as well as sugar imported from other countries is supposed to be fortified with vitamin A. Respondents were asked about the type of sugar they had in the household and the amount they consumed in a week to gauge the extent to which vitamin A is reaching the population at large by means of sugar."
