Description This background paper-a product of the joint Migration and Remittances Unit of the Development Economics Vice Presidency (DEC), and Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Network (PREM)-was prepared as part of the Africa Migration Project. The findings from the surveys are background material for a joint regional report of the African Development Bank and World Bank titled "Leveraging Migration in Africa: Remittances, Skills, and Investments Migration, Remittances and Development in Africa" (released in March 2011).
