Abstract |
This paper attempts to shed light on the process of disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It delivers a critical analysis of the shortcomings and achievements of the process from 1995 to 2004. The author includes an analysis of the provisions of the Dayton Peace Agreement for DDR and also offers an assessment of the successes and overall feasibilities of reintegration projects for demobilized soldiers in Bosnia. The aim of the paper is to provide conclusions on lessons learned in the design and implementation of past projects, and to provide relevant recommendations for future DDR activities. |
