Il s'agit de la deuxième Enquête sur les Indicateurs du Paludisme menée à Madagascar, la première Enquête sur les Indicateurs du Paludisme a été consucted en 2011.

La collecte des données a été réalisée au moyen de tablettes PC. Les informations collectées par chaque enquêteur sur sa tablette PC étaient transférées chaque jour sur la tablette du chef d’équipe qui, à son tour, transmettait le fichier complet de données collectées aux coordonnateurs de l’enquête lors de leur passage sur le terrain. Les fichiers des différents enquêteurs étaient alors transférés au bureau central de l’INSTAT par grappe. Ces fichiers de données ont ensuite été enregistrés, compilés et traités sur un ordinateur central. Les données de chaque grappe étaient vérifiées et un fichier unique de données apurées a été créé lorsque les fichiers de toutes les grappes ont été enregistrés et approuvés. L’enregistrement, le contrôle et la compilation des données ont été effectués par deux coordonnateurs informatiques de la DDSS/INSTAT. Le traitement des données de l’EIPM a été réalisé en utilisant le logiciel CSPro.
