In November 2013 - January 2014, 372 stakeholders of the World Bank Group in Kazakhstan were invited to participate in the survey.\n\nThe survey assists the World Bank Group in gaining a better understanding of how stakeholders in Kazakhstan perceive the WBG. Participants in the survey were drawn from the office of the President; the office of the Prime Minister; office of a minister; office of a parliamentarian; ministries, ministerial departments, or implementation agencies; consultants\/contractors working on World Bank Group-supported projects\/programs; project management units (PMUs) overseeing implementation of a project; local government officials; bilateral and multilateral agencies; private sector organizations; private foundations; the financial sector\/private banks; NGOs; community based organizations; the media; independent government institutions; trade unions; faith-based groups; academia\/research institutes\/think tanks; the judiciary branch; and other organizations. \n\nThe stakeholders were selected from a database of contacts with whom WBG regularly interacts locally. Also, a local consulting firm, which distributed the questionnaires, had to contribute to 20% of the sample. The firm mostly provided contact information of non-government organizations that know about the World Bank Group or work with WBG. \n\nWhen possible, responses from respondents completing 2014 country survey were compared to responses from 146 respondents (88% response rate) who completed the survey in FY 2003.","coll_mode":"Other [oth]","research_instrument":"The questionnaire is available in three languages: English, Russian and Kazakh. Potential respondents receive questionnaires via courier, post or email (an independent, secure web platform).
