In order to ensure that the cash assistance provided meets the intended programme objectives and that desired outcomes are achieved, UNHCR conducts regular post-distribution and outcome monitoring with a sample or all of CBI recipients. Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) is a mechanism to collect feedback on the quality, sufficiency, utilization and effectiveness of assistance. The underlying principle behind the process is linked to accountability, as well as a commitment to improve the quality and relevance of support provided, and related services.\n\nThis CBI PDM took place in the Est (Kade\u00ef and Lom & Djerem) and Nord (Mayo Rey) regions of Cameroon in December 2020 following the cash intervention in mid-November 2020. More than 5,000 households were provided with cash with the objective of supporting basic needs and self-reliance. 400 beneficiary households were randomly sampled for the PDM.","coll_dates":[{"start":"2020-12-05","end":"2021-12-22","cycle":""}],"nation":[{"name":"Cameroon","abbreviation":"CMR"}],"geog_coverage":"Est (Kade\u00ef and Lom & Djerem) and Nord (Mayo Rey) regions of Cameroon","analysis_unit":"Households","data_kind":"Sample survey data [ssd]","notes":"The PDM covered the following topics:\n- beneficiary details and household demographics\n- receiving and spending the cash assistance\n- risks and problems\n- markets and prices\n- expenditure\n- medium-term outcomes\n- longer-term outcomes\n- accountability"},"method":{"data_collection":{"data_collectors":[{"name":"UN Refugee Agency","abbreviation":"UNHCR","affiliation":"UN"}],"sampling_procedure":"Random sample of 400 beneficiary households out of 5,069 who received cash from UNHCR","coll_mode":"Other [oth]","coll_situation":"Data was collected using a mix of face-to-face interviews and telephone interviews."}},"data_access":{"dataset_use":{"spec_perm":[{"txt":"","required":"no","form_no":"","uri":""}],"contact":[{"name":"UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR)","affiliation":"UN","email":"microdata@unhcr.org","uri":""}],"cit_req":"UNHCR (2021).
