The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). FAO launched a household survey between February 3 and March 27, 2023 in the Central African Republic. Data was collected through a CATI survey in 17 prefectures: Bangui, Bamingui-Bangoran, Basse-Kotto, Haute-Kotto, Haut-Mbomou, K\u00e9mo, Lobaye, Mamb\u00e9r\u00e9-Kade\u00ef, Mbomou, Nana-Mamb\u00e9r\u00e9, Nana-Gribizi, OmMbella-M'Poko, Ouaka, Ouham, Ouham-Pend\u00e9, Sangha-Mba\u00e9r\u00e9, and Vakaga. A total of 3,710 households were surveyed by telephone. The survey is representative at the prefectural level, and the sample design was developed with a margin of error of 8.5 percent.
