Conducted as part of an annual interagency regional process led by UNHCR, this assessment supports the Regional Refugee Response Plan (RRP) for the Ukraine Situation. Covering topics such as protection, health, education, shelter, livelihoods, and food security, the survey offers critical data to inform evidence-based planning and prioritization, ensuring the specific needs of different refugee groups are addressed. Data collection was conducted through face-to-face interviews from May to July 2024 with a probability-based random sample of refugee households, managed collaboratively by UNHCR and the International Organization for Migration. Findings will guide strategic interventions and resource allocation to enhance the welfare and resilience of the refugee population in Estonia.","coll_dates":[{"start":"2024-05-14","end":"2024-07-15","cycle":""}],"nation":[{"name":"Estonia","abbreviation":"EST"}],"geog_coverage":"Estonia","analysis_unit":"Household","universe":"Ukrainian refugee households in Estonia","data_kind":"Sample survey data [ssd]","notes":"The scope includes: \n- demographics \n- cash and livelihoods \n- protection \n- health \n- education \n- accommodation \n- accountability \n- feedback on humanitarian assistance"},"method":{"data_collection":{"data_collectors":[{"name":"UN Refugee Agency","abbr":"UNHCR","role":"","affiliation":"UN"},{"name":"International Organization for Migration","abbr":"","role":"","affiliation":""}],"sampling_procedure":"Probability: Simple random sampling","coll_mode":["Face-to-face interview"],"research_instrument":"Key topics covered include protection, gender-based violence, mental health, socio-economic status, health, accommodation, food security, education, social cohesion, and access to humanitarian aid.","coll_situation":"The data collection process involved face-to-face interviews conducted using a Kobo-based questionnaire, with test interviews and incomplete submissions (e.g., those lacking consent or with respondents under 18) removed to ensure data quality."}},"data_access":{"dataset_use":{"cit_req":"UNHCR, International Organization for Migration (2024).
