The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). Between 19 December 2023 and 17 January 2024, FAO conducted a household survey in Chad through the Data in Emergencies Monitoring (DIEM-Monitoring) Survey to monitor agricultural livelihoods and food security. This sixth-round survey reached a sample of 5 683 households through face-to-face interviews in 22 departments in Kanem, Lac, Logone Occidental, Moyen-Chari, Moyen-Kebbi Est and Wadi Fira.
