Definition
ABORTNO5YR reports the number of abortions the respondent had in the 5 years before the survey, top-coded at 7+.

In countries where abortion is not legal, respondents may be reluctant to report abortions or may instead report abortions as some other sort of pregnancy termination, such as miscarriages.
