The survey covers the following topics:
The study sample is comprised of women in 15 LGAs of Adamawa and Bauchi States in Northeast Nigeria. The LGAs were selected in both states based on rural location, logistical reasons, and low risk of insurgency. The beneficiaries were from eight (8) LGAs in Adamawa and seven (7) LGAs in Bauchi. The 8 LGAs in Adamawa state are Numan, Demsa, Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Mayo-belwa, and Song; while the 7 LGAs from Bauchi state are Bogoro, Dass, Tafawa-Balewa, Toro, Ningi, Misau, and Katagum.
The study sampling frame includes 4,200 eligible women residing in 570 communities across 15 Local Government Areas (LGAs) out of the 21 LGAs in Adamawa and Bauchi. These 4,200 women were caregivers of children living with HIV (CLHIV), women with children and living with HIV HIV(PLHIV), caregivers of HIV-exposed infants and children exposed to sexual violence, gender-based violence, and other abuses.

Pro-Health International (PHI) supplied the list of eligible beneficiaries from whom baseline data were collected. The baseline data were collected from July to September 2022, while the intervention (vocational training) was conducted from December 2022 to March 2023.
