Description

Definition
For female household members, HWFHEMOCONSENT (HA52) indicates whether permission was granted for their blood to be drawn and tested for hemoglobin level (as an indicator of anemia) or, if not, why not. Interviewers read a statement about hemoglobin testing and requested permission to draw and test the individual's blood for hemoglobin level.
