Description

Definition

For women who gave birth in the last 5 years and who received antenatal care during their most recent pregnancy, ANCCM1_01 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported receiving care at a religious hospital. This response category is country-specific to Cameroon.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCCM1_01 is combined with ANCCM2_01 (religious health center) in ANCPRIVMIS_01 (all faith-based facilities) for the 2011 Cameroon sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCCM1_01 are encouraged to review ANCPRIVMIS_01 for a more comprehensive response category.
