For young children with a fever or cough in the past 2 weeks, FEVTREG6 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment at a maternal and child health center for this illness. This response category is country-specific to Egypt.
Some samples in the "FEVTR" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.
FEVTREG6 is combined with FEVTREG5 (urban/rural health unit) in FEVTRPUBHC (all public health centers)for the 2000 and 2005 Egypt samples.
Additionally, in the 2008 and 2014 Egypt samples, FEVTREG6 is combined with FEVTREG7 (urban health unit) and FEVTREG8 (rural health unit).
IPUMS-DHS users interested in using FEVTREG6 are encouraged to review FEVTRPUBHC for a more comprehensive response category.
