Definition
GEO_GN2012 (V101_GN2012) indicates the region of Guinea where the respondent was interviewed. DHS units in the 2012 Guinea survey are equivalent to regions.

Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables. There are also integrated variables, GEO_GN1999_2012 , GEO_GN2005_2012, and GEOALT_GN1999_2012, that provide spatially consistent units over time.
