Definition
For surviving children under age 5 who had a cough in the past 2 weeks, COUFLUIDUPDN (H31D) indicates whether the child was given more, less, or the same amount of fluid as usual during the illness. Children receiving less fluid are further categorized into "somewhat less," "much less," and "nothing to drink."
