Description

Definition
GEO_ZW1988 (V101_ZW1988) indicates the region of Zimbabwe where the respondent was interviewed. DHS regions in the 1988 Zimbabwe survey are equivalent to non-mappable regions, because the survey is representative at the national level.

Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables. There is also an integrated variable, GEO_ZW1994_2015, that provides spatially consistent units over time. The Zimbabwe 1988 sample is excluded from GEO_ZW1994_2015 due to non-mappable boundaries.
