ATMW5 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the woman reported a mission hospital as a place to be tested for the AIDS virus. This response category is country-specific to Malawi.
Some samples in the "AT" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.
ATMW5 is combined with ATMW6 (mission health center) in ATPRIVMIS (all faith-based facilities) for the 2010 Malawi sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ATMW5 are encouraged to review ATPRIVMIS for a more comprehensive response category.
