Definition
GEO_MW2010 (V101_MW2010) indicates the region of Malawi where the respondent was interviewed. DHS units in the 2010 Malawi survey are equivalent to regions.

Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables. There is also an integrated variable, GEO_MW1992_2016, that provides spatially consistent units over time. Greater geographic detail for the Malawi 2010 sample can be found in GEOALT_MW2010.
