HHMEMTOTALMN (MV136) reports the total number of members of the male respondent's household.
According to the DHS Recode Manuals, HHMEMTOTALMN is calculated by summing "the number of usual residents and the number of visitors who slept in the house the previous night that were listed in the household schedule." "Usual residents" of the household are identified by the RESIDENTMN variable when men are the unit of analysis.
