Description

Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCMM5 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported receiving care from some other unspecified non-governmental organization (NGO). The meaning of "other" depends on the NGO categories specified in the survey. This response category is country-specific to Myanmar.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

For the 2015 Myanmar samples, ANCMM5 is combined with ANCMM1 (Marie Stopes International), ANCMM2 (Myanmar Red Cross), ANCMM3 (Population Services International [Sun Quality Network]), and ANCMM4 (Myanmar Medical Association) in ANCNGO (all NGOs). IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCMM5 are encouraged to review ANCNGO for a more comprehensive response category.
