Definition

For children with a fever or cough in the past 2 weeks, FEVTRMM5 indicates whether the child received treatment from some "other" non-governmental organization. The meaning of other depends on the NGOs specified in the sample. This response category is country-specific to Myanmar.

Some samples in the "FEVTR" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

FEVTRMM5 is combined with FEVTRMM1 (Marie Stopes International), FEVTRMM2 (Myanmar Red Cross), FEVTRMM3 (Population Services International/Myanmar {PSI/M]), and FEVTRMM4 (Myanmar Medical Association) in FEVTRNGO (all NGOs) for the 2015 Myanmar sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using FEVTRMM5 are encouraged to review FEVTRNGO for a more comprehensive response category.
