Description
Definition
For women who had ever been married or lived with a man, HUSEDYRS (V715) reports the education of the woman's most recent husband/partner in single years. This variable is constructed from responses to HUSEDLVL (V701) and HUSEDYR (V702) as follows:
If HUSEDLVL = "No education," HUSEDYRS = "0"
If HUSEDLVL = "Primary," HUSEDYRS = HUSEDYR
If HUSEDLVL = "Secondary," HUSEDYRS = HUSEDYR + x
If HUSEDLVL = "Higher," HUSEDYRS = HUSEDYR + y
If HUSEDLVL = "Missing," HUSEDYRS = "Missing"
In the above equations, "x" equals the number of years needed to complete primary education, and "y" equals the number of years needed to complete primary and secondary education. The values of "x" and "y" are country-specific.
