Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCNP6 indicates whether the mother received care from a United Mission to Nepal (UMN) facility or a Red Cross hospital, non-governmental organizations. This response category is country-specific to Nepal.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCNP6 is combined with other NGOs in the 2006 and 2011 Nepal surveys.

In the 2006 Nepal survey, ANCNP6 is combined with ANCNP10 (other NGO) in ANCNGO (all NGOs).
In the 2011 Nepal survey, ANCNP6 is combined with ANCNP7 (FPAN), ANCNP8 (Marie Stopes), ANCNP9 (ADRA), and ANCNP10 (other NGO) in ANCNGO (all NGOs).


IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCNP6 are encouraged to review ANCNGO for a more comprehensive response category.
