Definition
For women who had symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection in the past 12 months, STIADNP7 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported seeking advice or treatment from the Family Planning Association of Nepal (FPAN), a non-governmental organization (NGO). This response category is country-specific to Nepal.

Some samples in the "STIAD" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

STIADNP7 is combined with other NGOs in the 2006, 2011 and 2016 Nepal surveys.


In the 2006 Nepal survey, STIADNP7 is combined with STIADNP8 (AMDA), STIADNP9 (INF), STIADNP10 (Nepal Red Cross), STIADNP11 (UMN), and STIADNP14 (other NGOs) in STIADNGO (all NGOs).
In the 2011 Nepal survey, STIADNP7 is combined with STIADNP8 (AMDA), STIADNP9 (INF), STIADNP10 (Nepal Red Cross), STIADNP11 (UMN), STIADNP12 (ADRA), and STIADNP14 (other NGOs) in STIADNGO (all NGOs).
In the 2016 Nepal survey, STIADNP7 is combined with STIADNP13 (Marie Stopes) and STIADNP14 (other NGOs) in STIADNGO (all NGOs).
