Description

Definition
EDLEVEL (HV106) reports the highest level of school the household member attended. Countries vary in the gradations of their school systems, but EDUCLVL is a standardized variable reporting level of education in four broad categories: No education, Primary, Secondary, and Higher.

Any household member below the lower age limit (usually 6 years) for the education questions is classified in the "No education" category.
