Definition
GEO_SN1986 (V101_SN1986) indicates the region of Senegal where the respondent was interviewed. DHS regions in the 1986 Senegal survey are equivalent to divisions.

Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables. There are also three integrated variables, GEO_SN1986_2017, GEO_SN2012_2014, and GEO_SN2015_2016, that provide spatially consistent units over time.
