Definition

VACDTAPIPVHIB4YR reports the year that children received their fourth DTaP-IPV-Hib vaccination. This information is only available for children born in the 3 to 5 years before the survey whose fourth DTaP-IPV-Hib vaccination date was recorded on a card shown to the interviewer.

The complementary variables VACDTAPIPVHIB4DAY and VACDTAPIPVHIB4MO report the day of the month and the month of the fourth DTaP-IPV-Hib vaccination, as recorded on a vaccination card shown to the interviewer.

According to the DHS Recode Manuals, the vaccination date may be coded as "Inconsistent" if the reported date is inconsistent with the date of birth, the date of interview, or the dates of other vaccinations.

To identify all young children who received the fourth DTaP-IPV-Hib vaccination, including those identified through the mother's report rather than a dated vaccination card, see VACDTAPIPVHIB4.
