The Food and Agriculture Microdata (FAM) Catalog provides an inventory of datasets collected through farm and household surveys which contain information related to food, agriculture, nutrition, forestry and all the other related domains relevant to Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) mandate. The catalog is populated by microdata sets that are collected directly by FAO as well as microdata sets whose collection are supported in some way by the FAO. The FAM catalog aims to be a one-stop-shop for metadata on all agricultural censuses and surveys that are publicly available, and for direct access and/or links to the microdata. It is continuously updated as new datasets from FAO, member countries and other international organizations become available.
Initially, the development of the FAM was supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the United States Agency for International Development.
