Code 1 indicates that the child had been ill in the last 24 hours, code 2 indicates that the child had been ill with the cough in the last two weeks, but not the last 24 hours. Code 1 is country specific for DHS III.

Variables H31 to H40 relate to the prevalence and treatment of fever and/or cough in the two weeks preceding the interview.
